Ten local teens will help produce the first Løkka-lykke gatekunstfest through the municipality’s UngJobb initiative, which gives young people the opportunity to have a summer job in their community.
The ten youngsters, aged 15-18, will be involved across all aspects of the festival production, from assisting artists with painting and installing works of art, to helping the organisers to run the program of workshops and guided tours. In doing so, they will receive valuable work experience while also acquiring new skills and earning extra income in the process.
Hanne Ugelstad, Street Art Oslo: “This is a great opportunity to involve local youngsters in the implementation and future development of Løkka-lykke. Not only will the participants learn from experienced artists, producers and organizers, but they will directly contribute to making Grünerløkka a more colourful and interesting place.”
